Bite&Go meets Gallia e Peter
april 15 - 20 2024
The exhibition draws in part from the archive of the historic Milanese maison Gallia e Peter, active in Milan since 1930, to present Laura Marelli's hats/sculptures in dialogue with works by contemporary artists selected by Nicoletta Rusconi.
The hats/sculptures, inspired by the works of Balla and Depero, come from the collection created in 1986 by Laura Marelli, direct heir of the founders of Gallia and Peter, in conjunction with the great exhibition on Futurism held in Venice, Palazzo Grassi in that year.
The counterpoint between the works chosen by Nicoletta Rusconi and the hats/sculpture well illustrates how an approach, in which the artistic vision transcends the limits traditionally imposed in favor of an immersion in the unstoppable flow of life, technique and history, is still highly topical by creating a lively and elegant exhibition.
