Francesco Patriarca
Biography
Born in Rome in 1974, Francesco Patriarca now lives and works in Paris and the city of his birth.
From 2002 to 2004 he produced a work that was published in France by Les Éditions Filigranes, Paris, with the title L’appartement (The Apartment) and was exhibited in France, England and the United States.
Since 2004 he has been working on the theme of isolation and the relationship between humans and the environment in certain closed situations. This cycle includes the series entitled The Accona Desert and Fourth Wall.The former was the result of a long stay in a monastery on the slopes of the Crete Senesi, in southern Tuscany, and the latter of another long stay in a Mexican prison.
